Lynn Tracy Nerland

Lynn Tracy Nerland retired from a municipal law career in California after serving as City Attorney for the City of San Pablo (2015-2022) and City of Antioch (2006-2015).  Prior to that, she was the Assistant City Attorney for the Cities of Pleasanton and Emeryville.  Lynn started her legal career with the law firm of Hanson Bridgett in San Francisco representing public agencies.  She served as the President of the City Attorneys Department of the League of California Cities, as well as a presenter, author, and committee chair for that organization.

Lynn graduated from the University of California Law San Francisco (previously UC Hastings) as a Tony Patino Fellow, where she served as the Executive Articles Editor for the Hastings International & Comparative Law Review.  She received her undergraduate degree cum laude from Dartmouth College majoring in history.  A native of Upstate/Central New York, Lynn first came to California with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps working for a job training and community services organization in Visalia, California.
