Nooran Alhamdan

Nooran Alhamdan is a rising 2L at UC Law SF (formerly known as UC Hastings). She received her Masters degree in Arab Studies from Georgetown University and her Bachelors in Political Science and Economics from the University of New Hampshire. In her junior year of college she was awarded the prestigious Harry S. Truman Scholarship in recognition of her dedication to public service. At UC Law SF, Nooran is President of the Middle Eastern Law Society, a member of the Muslim Law Students Association, and a staff editor of the International and Comparative Law Review. Through the Law in Technology and Diversity Collaborative, Nooran spent her 1L summer at law firm WilmerHale, and technology company Intuit. She will be returning to WilmerHale’s Palo Alto office in the summer of 2024.

Nooran is passionate about refugee advocacy, foreign affairs, and immigrant rights. She will be participating in the Refugees and Human Rights clinic in Spring 2024. She hopes to utilize her legal education to be an advocate for displaced people. She also hopes to mentor students from underrepresented backgrounds in the legal field, including Arab and Muslim women.
