Josef Danczuk

Josef Danczuk is a recent graduate of Columbia Law School and is planning a career in litigation. Prior to law school, he served in the U.S. Army as an Air and Missile Defense officer, stationed in Germany and operating throughout Europe. Throughout law school and to the present, Josef has continued his service in the New York Army National Guard, including by mobilizing to Washington D.C. in January 2021 for security operations for the Presidential Inauguration.

While at CLS, Josef was a Kent and Stone scholar. He worked as an Executive Editor for Volume 61 of the Columbia Journal of Transnational Law. Josef was also a Teaching and Research Assistant to multiple professors on various topics, including Property, the Law of Armed Conflict, and Impeachment. Josef was selected to be a Student Fellow in the CLS National Security Law Program. He was a Moot Court Student Editor, assisting first-year students with writing and arguing their briefs in CLS’ first-year moot court program.

Josef lives in New Jersey with his wife, Christina, and they are expecting their first child.
